Linda, the gift gallery’s buyer, visits all the local galleries and art shows to ensure the store is always stocked with the most current, and coveted gifts made by local artisans. She purchases in small quantities, thereby ensuring the selection in the gift gallery is constantly rotating and evolving.
Linda Thompson, CPF
Owner
One such local artist is Linda Thompson herself, Creative Framing & Gift Gallery’s owner and resident artist. Linda earned her degree in Interior Design and designs unique shell-enhanced vases, frames and candle holders…each one a unique, one-of-a-kind piece. She uses hand-blown glass vessels, leather boxes, mirrors and other found objects as a foundation, and artfully layers shells from both local beaches and around the word to create her award-winning designs. Linda has placed 1st in various art shows in the past 35 years. Among them, she has placed 1st from the Sarasota Shell Club, and received 2 best of show awards.
Her artwork can be found at Creative Framing & Gift Gallery, as well as at prestigious local art galleries and shops throughout Venice including the Arts Alliance of Lemon Bay as well as Sea Pleasures & Treasures and the Green Parrot on Venice Avenue downtown.
